The B.E.E Lab is directed by Gigi Luk in the Educational and Counselling Psychology Department at McGill University. We seek to understand bilingualism as a life and learning experience in children, adolescents, and adults. Our team focuses on examining the cognitive, linguistic, and learning mechanisms underlying this experience. In addition, we see bilingualism as an interactional experience between an individual and their proximal and distal environment. Through our research, we aim to promote respect of linguistic diversity in education and beyond.
